Home schooling can be challenging, as millions of UK parents will have discovered over the past month. With the lockdown set to continue, what's the best way to keep kids engaged and doing their homework?
BBC to the rescue: the national broadcaster is launching a revamped, daily version of their Bitesize educational offering today, with new daily lessons to appear every weekday from 9am and the whole of the UK school curriculum covered.
In order to help motivate pupils, BBC have enlisted some of its most respected and best loved names, including Professor Brian Cox and Sergio Aguero. It is said that Sir David Attenborough will also get involved presenting lessons about the oceans and animals.
The daily broadcasts will cover Science, English, and Maths, as well as History and Geography. In addition to the broadcasts, a wealth of materials such as infographics and quizzes are being made available. Check out the brand new Bitesize website (opens in new tab) and start exploring.
Need longer-form material for GCSE and A-Level? Head to BBC Four, who are adding factual programmes on History and Science to its current broadcasts of Shakespeare plays.
