The bedrooms of Highclere Castle are a familiar sight to lover’s of Downton Abbey. Elegant and luxurious, the rooms embody the epitome of design and comfort, while also reflecting the rich history of the house. Redesigning the 61 bedrooms of Highclere Castle has been a passion project for Lady Carnarvon as she works to modernise the house, while still retaining its grandeur and heritage.

With 70 years of British bed-making expertise behind them, Silentnight were brought on board to design a mattress for the Castle's guest bedrooms which would seamlessly integrate itself into the property, giving visitors a perfect night's sleep.

Silentnight are now launching this exclusive range to the public, enabling you to enjoy the same elegant product in your own home.

Expertly handcrafted in the UK using premium fabrics and materials, the three mattresses, named Wessex, Arundel and Mercia to reflect the bedrooms at Highclere Castle, boast different spring counts and comfort levels: firm, medium and medium soft.

Though inspired by tradition, the mattresses feature the latest in modern technology. Silentnight’s exclusive Mirapocket zoned spring system, provides tailored support from head to toe .

Traditionally hand tufted, these pillow top mattresses feature a natural blend of alpaca, silk, cashmere and wool fibres, taking inspiration from the natural landscape in which Highclere is set, as well as maintaining a comfortable sleeping temperature and optimal support.

And yes, we will be reviewing the Highclere shortly – bookmark our mattress reviews page to keep an eye out for the results.
