The Wayfair lighting section has to be one of our best-loved parts of the whole site. If you’ve spotted a super stylish, but also super expensive light that you just accepted would never be part of your life, check Wayfair because we can almost guarantee that the site will have something very similar for a much more reasonable price.
We will warn you that there’s a lot to get through when it comes to Wayfair lighting, and we are talking hundreds of pages to scroll through. To make it a bit less overwhelming, we have rounded up some of the best designs.

We love the simple industrial look of this glass lampshade (opens in new tab). It would be perfect in a kitchen – over a kitchen island if you have one. The light is clean and bright, so it’s ideal for spaces that need plenty of functional task lighting.

These geometric pendant lights (opens in new tab) would look equally at home over a kitchen island or a dining room table. Team them with warm lightbulbs so the light given off isn’t harsh. Wayfair also offers this design as a single light (opens in new tab), which would be perfect as a bedside light.
Can you tell we love a glass shade? They’re enduringly stylish and are never very expensive (this ball pendant light (opens in new tab) is just £70.99). Again, we recommend a warmly coloured bulb to make this a fabulous design for a living room. Alternatively, choose one of those vintage bulbs (opens in new tab) where you can see the filament to add an industrial edge.
Aha, case in point: a glass shade with a funky bulb. This is the last one of its kind, we promise, but we had to include this wall light (opens in new tab). Perfect as a bedside light as you can angle it to the right position for bedtime reading, plus it won’t take up any room on your bedside table. We were thinking this could also look really stylish in a bathroom: one either side of a mirror.
We love the retro vibe of this yellow wall light (opens in new tab). It’s a great way to bring a pop of colour into any room. It comes in pink or grey and white, too, and there are matching pendant lights (opens in new tab).
Fan of the mid-century look? This wall lamp (opens in new tab) fits the bill. It’s a bit reminiscent of those Sputnik lights you see everywhere at the moment, but a smaller, more versatile version. This would add a touch of luxury to a bathroom or even as a hallway light above a console table.
How cute is this oversized Pixar light (opens in new tab)? Definitely a good shout for a home office when you need some serious task lighting. It comes in a few colour options, too: teal, black and bronze, and white.
Does this arc light (opens in new tab) look like it cost just £81.99? We certainly don’t think so, and there are very similar lights at the likes of Heal’s, West Elm and John Lewis that cost more than double that. If you love a good furniture dupe, we actually rounded up a load of amazing Heal’s dupes, so make sure you go and check that out.
