We're sharing these Black Friday store openings, because like pretty much everything else this year, things are a running a little differently. The large retailers traditionally remain open on Thanksgiving, meaning we can get ahead with our Black Friday shopping and start Black Friday on, well, Thursday. But this year, Walmart closed its physical doors for the day, which allowed other big retailers to do the same.

So now if the excitement of Black Friday has you wondering, when does Best Buy open (or Target or anywhere else)? You're in the right place. While we love shopping online, but there may be some purchases you need to make in person – though we advise on holding out for only the most necessary purchases this year.

We're happy to say that today, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and Macy's have all reopened their physical doors. These are their opening times.

  • Walmart – open from 7am
  • Best Buy – open from 5am
  • Target – open from 5am
  • Macy's – open from 5am

While you won't see the hustle and bustle that you may be used to on Black Friday, as there are strict social distancing measures in place, you'll still be able to feel the buzz of grabbing a bargain (even if it is just a bumper pack of toilet tissue) and proudly popping it in your shopping cart. That said, some offers are online only to keep the footfall down. So please only head out if you absolutely have to – there is a pandemic you know.

It's worth double checking your local store before you head out, as local laws may affect which stores are open, and at what time. And remember, wear a mask, take plenty of hand sanitizer and maintain your distance from others.
