Garden furniture with indoor appeal

Relaxing outside calls for comfy, stylish seating, so where better to find it than an interior furniture company? Harveys has launched its first all-season outdoor furniture collection and it doesn’t disappoint. Comprising four ranges – Cannes Cube, Cannes Round, St Tropez and Royal Garden Carlo – all the pieces have a contemporary, practical feel, with most easy to stack or tidy away when the sun goes down or for winter storage. The furniture is made from durable, weather-resistant materials, with affordable designer looks. Prices start from £99 for a Cannes parasol in Ivory from both the Round and Cube ranges, (H)250x (dia.)250cm, or a set of three Cannes Round wicker planters, (H)76x(dia.)42cm for the largest of the three.

Future classics

Take your pick of stylish buys from the Code collection at Calligaris before their designers become the next big thing. Created in collaboration with product designer Matteo Cibic and rising design stars, Code includes a range of accessories and furniture, from the botanical-inspired Pom Pom lighting to the kaleidoscopic Marocco rug and practical Bumper shelf. Fresh in feel, the range retains the classic style you’d expect from Calligaris, which last year celebrated its 90th anniversary.

Shaded tiles

For a new twist on colour-blocking, take a look at the glossy ceramic Savoy wall tiles from Johnson Tiles. The palette includes seven colours – Oat, Grain, Caraway, Dew, Steel, Noir and Leaf – plus a tonal variation, so you can pair lighter tiles and deeper shades for a beautiful blended effect. Geometrically textured Savoy Decor feature tiles add another dimension.

Colour update

Add style to window frames, doors, banisters, picture rails and skirting with the relaunched Quick-Dry paints from Dulux in new vibrant and subtle shades, £24.29 for 2.5 litres. The wood and metal paints’ new formulation makes them easier to apply, whether you go for the chalky eggshell Jurassic Stone or Pebble Shore, or a vibrant hit of Luscious Lime or Orange Fizz gloss. If you’re a novice, try the satin range – water-based, it’s easy to slick on and clean up afterwards.

Bring Scandi style to your garden

Smart planters are a quick, easy way to add appeal to your outside space, whether it’s a small patio or lush lawn. The new collection of outdoor pots and accessories from Nordic House features the company’s signature industrial materials and relaxed country feel. From aged-patina planters with a fluted rim and rivet base to antiqued ceramic flowerpots and a zinc tray table that’s as good for dining alfresco as for displaying plants, they’ll add an instant vintage vibe. Prices start from £12.95 for coloured corrugated zinc planters.

Stylish screens

Sliding doors and room separators are a great idea for dividing one room for two different purposes, but if you have a period or traditional home, try something more in keeping with your décor. Plain English’s bespoke screens are a stylish solution. Available as half-glazed timber screens inspired by those found ‘below stairs’ in grand Georgian houses, raw steel and glass designs for a 20th-century studio feel, or in modular wood and metal for a mid-century modern look, they’re perfect for sectioning off a pantry, utility area, office or walk-in wardrobe. Prices start from £3,600 per metre for the raw metal screens or £4,800 per metre for the modular wood and metal screens.
