Amazon Prime Day, the two-day global shopping event that sets the internet ablaze in online deals, has come and gone, and you all did a lot of shopping.
Amazon was quick to report its top-selling items from the 2020 event, and that its members saved over $1.4 billion dollars. BILLION.
It also noted that it marked the two biggest days ever for third-party sellers overall, nearly all of whom are small and medium-sized businesses. Overall, Amazon was primed to generate almost $10 billion dollars in sales, according to Business Insider.
Unsurprisingly, the Echo Dot 3 was the most popular item purchased on Prime Day around the world. Amazon's smart home assistant was at one of its lowest prices yet at $18.99/ £18.99, most likely to make way for the next-gen, Echo Dot 4.
