Clearly, our love of grey bathrooms is still going strong. Stylish and versatile, grey is just such a classic and we think grey in a bathroom is a thing of beauty. What shade of grey do you like best? Pale and interesting or dark and dramatic? Or do you sit on the fence and like a mid-tone? Or maybe just a hint in the form of grey accessories instead? Our ideas below cover them all, whatever your style...

1. Mix grey and blush pink

This stunning bathroom shows you how to use pattern to introduce grey successfully. And even if you don’t want a decorative pattern like the floor tiles shown here, you can create a design on your wall by using plain tiles instead. We love how the tiles have been left to create a feature – both as a splashback for the sink and the shower and it looks great with the blush pink.

2. Go for a quick grey update with paint

If you adore grey then paint your walls, skirtings and woodwork in the same colour. It’s fresh, modern and it works beautifully in this bathroom. But how do you prevent it from looking too dark? Keep your bath light in colour – we love this white tub complete with matching painted feet, and note that the floor is bare boards. This adds warmth and texture to the room. Plants give the space life and source vintage bottles for a touch of character.

3. Choose a subtle pale grey flooring

This modern bathroom is sleek and stylish, and a great example of how to use grey in a subtle way. Barely-there-grey is classic, and this shade on the floor is a pretty tone that looks stunning with the white sanitaryware. The marble wall veining gives hints of grey too and ties in well with the floor tiles, add in some fluffy towels in a pale shade and your contemporary bathroom will be complete.

4. Pick a warmer grey for a softer look

Grey has many shades and these wall tiles have a lightly taupe tone which makes them warmer visually. Their linear quality gives them a decorative feel and we adore the stone sink. The base colour ties in with the wall tiles perfectly and creates a cohesive look. Add in warm brass fixtures and fittings and you have a stunning bathroom to relax in!

5.  Add interest with a textured grey tile

How gorgeous are these mottled grey tiles? The hexagonal pattern is understated yet creates a dramatic contrast to the smooth pink sink. Reminiscent of natural stone, they will create interest with their texture and various shades of grey, keep the rest of the scheme simple so they become the focal point of your bathroom.
