What could you rent for £1,000 a month? For those of us in London, the answer is 'not a lot'. But, if you are elsewhere in the UK, the answer becomes much more varied and includes a four-bedroom house.
The traditional four-bedroom terraced house in question was on the rental market in a prime area of Newcastle, close to the University and the Science Centre.
And if you're up for something quite different and modern, you could rent a two-bed flat in Liverpool's waterfront Mann Island development for £950 per month.
Among other properties that can be rented for £1,000 and under, you can expect to find a two-bed terraced house in Edinburgh, a one-bed terrace in Cambridge, or... a small studio in Brixton – in a development with a private pool, mind.
