Myakka, a furniture and home accessories store, is opening its first retail shop in Guildford, Surrey on 28th February 2015 after 14 years of online trade.

Specialise in fair trade homewares, Myakka‘s products are created from sustainable hardwoods, such as mango wood, sheesham, monkey pod and acacia. The home accessories are carefully sourced from countries across the world, bringing exotic details to the home.

Furniture is available in a variety of styles, including the Mallani range (shown above,) which is made from sheesham hardwood in a contemporary design.

Much of Myakka’s furniture is designed exclusively for the shop, including space-saving bookshelves and storage coffee tables to suit customer demands.

Founder and director, Georgie Hopkins, says, ‘This is a really exciting time for Myakka. It is fantastic to be able to provide customers with an opportunity to see and touch products in store before they buy, particularly with the larger furniture items.’
