It's safe to say that some of our favourite online home stores have helped us make it through the year. Online shopping, after all, is the ultimate rival to making sourdough and failing at DIY in the list of most done lockdown activities.
We have always had a bit of an online shopping addiction when it comes to homewares anyway, but there are some shops which really make your online experience a little more special, which makes a big difference when you can't physically go in to find your own living room ideas and inspiration for your home.
So we were intrigued when we saw a new study by Essential Living (opens in new tab) which revealed some of the hottest and most popular homeware brands we're visiting online, in the UK. And you know what we are actually really surprised! All the usuals are up there but there's actually quite a mix of smaller, more niche stores too. 1. Rose and Grey: Best for statement designs and bespoke sofas

4. Homesense: Best for finding hidden gems
Homesense is a homeware chain that is a sister store of TK Maxx. They don't actually have an online store that you can buy from so we're very impressed that they managed to score so highly on the online search popularity front!

5. OKA: Best for luxury sofas and furniture
OKA is British based luxury furniture and home accessories retailer that was launched in 1999. The product range is super far reaching, covering every corner of a room you could want furnished. We love their soft furnishings and are obsessed with their sofas.

6. West Elm: Best for seasonal homeware deals
Head over to the West Elm website for some fab buys. It's busy but that's because there are loads to choose from. This massive global brand has everything your home could need.

7. Zara Home: Best for on-trend home accessories
We've always loved Zara for their fashion range and we love how their homeware collection incorporates the same quirky ideas. With loads of minimalist yet statement pieces on offer, you can't go wrong with gifting a Zara Home piece to a loved one for Christmas.
