When's the first day of fall 2019? According to Google, fall in the Northern Hemisphere will begin on Monday 23rd September. Excited? As are we. While we still have another 17 days left of summer (supposedly), we're very much in a fall mood now and are ready to dig out our sweaters, slow cookers and fairy lights from the attic.

Wondering what to stock up on to ensure you're prepared? From new socks to coffee beans, summer-grown fruit and veg and even biodegradable lawn bags for when the leaves inevitably start falling, we've selected a few items we think you should purchase during your next Walmart shop, below.

FALL NECESSITIES 2019

HALLOLURE Hand Chunky Knit Blanket 3 Sizes | From $37.89 (opens in new tab)
Not only do these chunky knit blankets look good, but since they're extremely thick, they do a pretty amazing job at keeping you warm all night long. Available in three different sizes and 17 different colors, you could buy one for each room of your house *guilty*.

Vornado VH2 Electric Portable Space Heater | $74 $69.99 (opens in new tab)
Hate putting your furnace on? We agree it can be pointless to heat an entire home if you're only using one room, so why not invest in an electric heater this fall? This Vornado model can warm a room fast, it's quiet when in use and cool to touch so safe around kids and pets. The best part? It has a fan function so it can also be used in the summer!

Instant Pot LUX60 | $79 $49 (opens in new tab)
Don't own an instant pot or any other type of slow cooker for that matter? You need one this fall, especially if you crave hearty meals when the weather gets cold but are too busy to make them. The Instant Pot LUX60 can pressure cook AND slow cook, it can also cook rice, sauté, steam and warm, too. And thanks to its handy timer feature, you can pop your ingredients in before work and when you arrive home, they'll be cooked to perfection.

Nespresso VertuoPlus Coffee and Espresso Maker | $99.95 (opens in new tab)
A necessity for dark and cold mornings, this coffee and espresso maker will a) look good on your worktop, b) save you money purchasing a brew every morning and c) requires a tiny amount of effort for a caffeine fix. For under $100, you can't go wrong...
