We think a lamb burger might be the unsung hero of the barbecue. After all, when we think of barbecues, the image of beef burgers, sausages, and – nowadays – halloumi, are what tends to spring to mind. But, lamb burgers are (at least in our opinion) waaaay more tasty, especially when loaded up with plenty of salad, sauces and – if it were up to us – feta.
So, if you're on the hunt for something slightly different – or can't get your hands on your usual favourites – why not give lamb a go. We've included an easy recipe for making your own tasty lamb burgers below.

Lamb burgers
Ingredients:
- Half a bag of Florette Classic Crispy salad
- Lean lam mince, 125 grams
- Breadcrumbs, 30 grams
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- Coriander, finely chopped
- Mint sauce, two tablespoons
- Half a red onion, roughly chopped
- Salt and pepper, for seasoning
- Burger buns
- Your choice of toppings: we love the idea of feta cheese, tomatoes, gherkins, cucumber and plenty of sauce, but you can use whatever you have to hand
Method:
1. Put the lamb mince, breadcrumbs, garlic, coriander, mint sauce, onion and seasoning in a food processor. Blend until combined. Tip into a bowl. Using wet hands, shape into 2 burgers and chill in the fridge for 20 minutes.
2. Heat the oil in a large frying pan – or place on the barbecue. Fry the burgers for about 3–4 minutes on each side (this will take longer on a barbecue) or until browned and cooked through.
3. Top your burger with your topping preference and enjoy.
