The John Lewis Christmas shop is something we look forward to from around July, this year in particular we started getting excited for the festive season perhaps a tad too early... But alas, now it's November we are officially allowed to start planning our Christmas decs, picking out gifts and drinking mulled wine instead of our afternoon cuppa (joking, joking....).
So as soon as Halloween was over, we headed straight to the festive mothership that is the John Lewis Christmas shop to see what goodies we could pick up and of course share with you all! Little did we know, this would be our last trip for at least a month (sob) but hopefully this brings you some online shopping inspiration too...
For all things Christmas make sure you head over to our hub page.
1. Get your table settings sorted
We might not all be hosting in the same way this year, but that doesn't mean you can't make your table setting super special. We saw some lovely ideas in store, but this Tiffany blue and silver set up really caught our eye as being a stylish alternative to the traditional green and red.

2. Go for the classic red and white theme
If you are a Christmas traditionalist and love all things red and white, there is plenty at John Lewis for you. This display was filled with lovely gift ideas, cute decs and gorgeous table decor. We were particularly drawn to the Poinsettia table runner, it would look perfect with some tall candlesticks and a flurry of foliage running through the middle. Oww, and also check out those absolutely adorable robin mince pie plates!
3. Pick up some stylish home gifts
If you are shopping for a home lover (or want to pick up some bits for yourself) John Lewis has plenty. These monkey lamps are everywhere at the moment and would make for such a unique, quirky gift. Oooh, and those Charbonnel et Walker Whisky Truffles not only sound amazing but the packaging looks stunning too – the perfect luxury stocking filler.
We thought this hammered gold jug would be a perfect table centerpiece too, or popped on a console table in a hallway filled with holly and fir.
4. Don't forget the wrapping paper!
Is there anything better than an evening spent wrapping presents in front of a Christmas film, just getting all creative with the ribbons and tags and the paper? We don't think so and John Lewis have some gorgeous gift wrap if you want to make your gifts extra special this year. Our favourite was, of course, the sausage dogs dressed as reindeer!
