Like all things in 2020, Walmart Black Friday deals are going to look a little different this year.

Back in August, Walmart and a number of other retailers, including The Home Depot and Target, announced a change to the way they typically run their Black Friday promotions. For one, Walmart announced that it'd be closed on Thanksgiving Day. The store also shared that it would extend the holiday shopping season in the hopes of limiting the in-store holiday rush toward the end of the year. Instead? Walmart announced it'd be kicking off its seasonal discounts early, and keep them going throughout the season.

This week, Walmart released the details of Black Friday Deals for Days, three separate shopping events scheduled in November that will take the place of the more traditional Black Friday shopping holiday.

Find out more about Deals for Days, what'll be on sale each day, and how big the discounts will be, below.

When will Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days take place?

  • Event 1: Nov. 4 online, Nov. 7 in-store for deals on toys, electronics and home products
  • Event 2: Nov. 11 online, Nov. 14 in-store for deals on electronics,  movies, music,  apparel, and home
  • Event 3: Nov. 25 online, Nov. 27 in-store for deals on toys, apparel, home, and electronics

What is Walmart Black Friday Deals for Days?

The first event starts online Nov. 4 and will feature a series of deals on toys, electronics, and home products. Some of the already announced deals include a Onn 42-inch UHD Roku TV  (similar) for just $88 and Hotel Style bath towels for $5. In-store deals kick off Nov. 7 with a $15 Magic Bullet Blender and New Bright 1:6 scale RC Truck for $40.

Those with tech on their holiday wish lists will want to hold out for "Event 2" starting online Nov. 11 and in-store Nov. 14. You'll find deep savings on electronics, like TVs, computers, and tablets, as well as rollbacks on movies, music and items in apparel, home, and more, will also be available.

Finally, "Event 3" kicks off right around the traditional Black Friday shopping day with online promos going live Nov. 25 and more deals in-store Nov. 27 with emphasis on toys and gifts across apparel and home, as well as seasonal décor. And yes, there will be electronics deals too.

"Deals for Days" was designed to offer customers a safer and more convenient shopping experience, according to a Walmart release. On event days, stores will open at 5 a.m. local time, the number of crowds will be limited in store for social distancing, sanitized shopping carts will be available, and masks will be required. And as far as convenience, you get the discounts spread across more days and you can get an early start on your holiday shopping.

If this year goes smoothly, we're sure Walmart's sale adjustment will have lasting effects on how we shop for the holidays in the years going forward.
