Getting ready for Amazon Prime Day 2020? It will soon be here (we hope!) and this year we are keeping our fingers crossed for the best deals we've ever seen.
According to Molzi – Europe’s leading Amazon agency – 80 per cent of Amazon shoppers are planning to make the most of the deals this year. This means you'll have to be super fast at bagging Lightning Deals before they sell out. Unsurprisingly, this surge has come since people have become 10 times more comfortable when it comes to buying products online thanks to lockdown.
What else has caused this high percentage? Lots of shoppers have concerns over prices rising next year for Amazon Prime Day due to Brexit and the Digital Services Tax, so are very keen to buy what they need in 2020, rather than waiting until 2021.
Seems smart to us. Also, because Prime Day is so late this year (more on that below), 26 per cent of Amazon Prime Day shoppers will buy their Christmas presents in the Prime Day sales instead of Black Friday. Interesting.
While we are still yet to have the new date for Amazon Prime Day 2020 confirmed – it's usual mid-July date was postponed – we do already know that this mega sale event is currently more popular, for Amazon, than Black Friday, Cyber Monday and January sales.
Some good news: 57 per cent of shoppers who are planning to shop the Amazon Prime Day sales don't yet have products in mind. Get planning what you want now to get ahead of these guys.
Also, the majority of people are set to buy new technology this Amazon Prime Day – Alexa devices and more we reckon – with 21 per cent of people after personal care products such as electric toothbrushes, hair straighteners and more. Very good to know.
It's official: it's time to get planning for this mega sale event. See our 2019 bestsellers below for some inspiration and get adding to your Amazon Prime Day wishlist now.
