It's that time of year where we start looking ahead to interior color trends for the coming year. We gaze into our interior design crystal ball (a.k.a listen to designers and buyers, look at social media, see what our fave paint brands are doing) and predict what are going to be the most influential colors for 2021.

We always look forward to Farrow & Ball's color forecasts, because unlike a lot of brands, there's not just one color of the year, there is a whole pallet of them and of course all the gorgeous looks that go with them. Keep scrolling to check out the colors we should all be decorating with this year (surprisingly there's not a gray in sight) and head over to our interior design ideas 2021 feature for more stylish revamp ideas...

1.  Rich jewels hues

It makes sense that in... unprecedented times, we want to make our homes feel as warm and welcoming as possible, and rich red tones do just that. Dark purply reds like Preference Red plus rich browns like Tanner's Brownbring so much coziness into a room and can easily be mixed into a neutral color palette to bring a touch of luxurious comfort.

2. Calming natural  greens

Olivey greens are everywhere right now, they are just so calming and bring lovely, natural colors into the home. Farrow & Ball's Sap Green has been highlighted as a color of the year for 2021 and we love it's slightly more muted tones, perfect if you want to add a touch of green but aren't looking for anything too bold or vivid.

3. Warm earthy colors

Everyone loves a neutral, but whereas in years past it's been all about the very cool toned neutrals and greys to create that clean Scandi look, for 2021 it's a much warmer, comforting tone. Soft, understated colors like Jitney is the perfect base for any room of any size as it bounces light around in the daylight but becomes deeper and cozier of an evening.

4. Clean simple blues

And now for something bolder. If you want to be adding color to your home in 2021, Farrow & Ball say a clean, classic shade of blue is the way to go. Mix Stiffkey Blue with a bright white for a sharper look or keep it richer and more luxurious by sticking to all inky colors in your color palette.
