We never like to pick favourites, but H&M home is one of our go-to places when we are after little updates for our homes. All their stuff is always fab quality and really affordable, and their new bedroom collection is no exception! Every piece is gorgeous and looks so luxurious, lots of hotel room vibes going on here, so we thought we would share with you some ways to use the new range to give your bedroom a really snazzy (but totally affordable) update...
1. Invest in new bedding
The easiest and quickest way to give your bedroom a luxury update? Get some lovely new bedding. H&M's washed linen duvet cover set(£79.99) has a lovely soft, relaxed look and feel to it, it's amazing quality for the price and you'll feel more extra as soon as you make the switch. Combine it with a velvet throw(£99.99) for an even more luxury and comfort.
2. Choose a new colour scheme
We love the colour scheme that H&M have gone for with this new range, and we think it would be really easier to copy, without making too many changes. Just pick out some of the key pieces – maybe some cushions or bedspread – in that lovely burnt orange and then build the scheme around that. Have a look around your home and see what you already have that could work, maybe some gold candlesticks or a beige rug that going un-loved in your living room could have a new home in your bedroom.
3. Pick out marble accessories
Marble always adds a touch of luxury, just pop this tray on your bedside table with some fresh flowers and a nice candle and your space will instantly feel a bit more fancy. The tray is just £17.99 too and the matching vase is £24.99. Bargain luxury right there.
4. Switch up and layer your cushions
You all know how we feel about the room changing abilities of a few cushions – seriously just pick up a couple of those gorgeous quilted velvet cushions(£19.99) and layer them with a satin duvet set(£39.99) for a whole new look. Pop a chocolate on the pillow and you won't be able to tell the difference between your bedroom and a nice hotel (apart from the fact you can still hear Pippa Pig on the TV downstairs, the dog barking at the door and damn it there's no mini-fridge).
5. Create a reading nook
You know how in hotels there's always that section in the room that has a really nice chair, a little side table with a reading light and lots of small branded stationery on it (who uses that btw?)? Well, recreate that chill out area in your bedroom. If you don't already have a bedroom chair, shop the rest of your house to find one, throw on a couple of these very cool, classic striped cushions(£12.99) and set up a little table next to it. Again, marble accessories will look fab and a few gold accents – the perfect place for a morning coffee and to catch up with your correspondents on your new mini branded stationery.
