The kitchen is where it's at. Serving as your snack-sharing hot spot and unofficial recipe test center, your cook space is important. That being said, it can be tough to keep it stylish, clean, and organized.

It might not be as easy as giving your bedroom a refresh, but it's possible to give your kitchen the flow and flair it deserves — whether it's through a bright pot or pan or through some handy storage pieces. One helpful hack worth trying out that'll boost this space is Shea McGee's super simple kitchen storage idea.

Shea McGee's kitchen organization hack

The Dream Home Makeover star and co-founder of Studio McGee styles her everyday kitchen essentials on a sleek, circular marble tray. Now, it might sound like a small, insignificant detail, however, it's actually pretty eye-catching.

"One of our favorite ways to bring form and function to the kitchen is by corraling our most-used kitchen objects on a tray for easy access," writes McGee on her blog

"We love having olive oil, balsamic, honey, or sea salt next to the sink or stovetop," she explains. McGee is all about having things close by, which we can get behind. There's nothing more annoying than losing track of your paprika or pumpkin spice seasonings. Up for trying her hack? Shop these trays.

While we're also fans of Marie Kondo, she's of the belief that a tidy kitchen involves having nothing on the countertops near the sink. At all.

McGee has a slightly more laissez-faire approach to her kitchen ideas. She even recommends making a bit of an Instagram moment with your tray of olive oil and other cooking essentials.

"Styling fruit, garlic bulbs, or fresh herbs alongside them is a great way to add some color," she adds. The hack means you always have the things you simply cannot be without when cooking, whether it's your favorite Maldon salt or garlic-infused olive oil.

We're all about little wins that look good and make life easier. If your kitchen is seriously tight on space, there are plenty more genius kitchen storage hacks where that came from.

For now, maybe it's time to pop a marble tray into your shopping cart.
