Heading to IKEA for bedroom inspiration this weekend? We bet a lot of you are nodding right now, because when the weather is this miserable, what else is there to do? So to get you started, we have rounded up the best IKEA bedroom buys that you can pick up on your next trip to give your room a bit of an update.
Check out our picks below and head over to our bedroom ideas hub page for loads more styling tips.
1. Switch up your bedding
The easiest and cheapest way to make your bedroom feeling fresher is to change your bedding. IKEA has some gorgeous new sets in but we couldn't resist this gorgeous pink set because... well it's pink. A lovely dusky pink and has a really subtle stripe to it. It's a heavy cotton too which gives a really relaxed look and just gets softer with every wash. Oh and it's only £22!
2. Get new bedroom curtains
Curtains aren't something you think as having a drastic difference to a room, you get so used to them you have probably just stopped noticing they aren't looking super fresh. Pick out a new set, and maybe a new curtain pole to give your bedroom windows a new look. These linen curtains are £45 and the black contrasting curtain pole (v trendy) is just £7.75.
3. Declutter with stylish IKEA storage
Decluttering your bedroom can make such a difference! So pick up some handy storage while you are at IKEA. If you've got the room, we love the Svalnas wall mounted shelving, they are £90 and you can group them together to create a very cool looking bookshelf.
If you are looking for some cheaper, smaller storage, check out the basket selection at Ikea – it is unrivaled.
4. Upgrade your bedroom lighting
Changing your bedroom lighting is a fab way to update your bedroom. Rattan lampshades our everywhere at the moment and Ikea have loads for some amazing prices. This pendant lamp just £29 too.

5. Thrown down a rug
Floors looking a bit worse for wear in your bedroom? Cover it up with a large area rug! Our favourite IKEA rug of all time is the Lohals. Sure it's basic but it is the best if you are after a simple rug that covers a large space and it won't overwhelm the rest of your scheme. It's also perfect if you like to layer your rugs annnnd it's only £80!
