- How to design the perfect kid's room (that's the room that's perfect, not the child...)
- Nursery room ideas for your newborn or toddler
1. Give your child's bedroom a forest theme
Fabulous for kids who'd rather be outdoors but are kept in by the weather (or bedtime), this woodland theme is perfect for both girls', boys' and shared bedrooms. You can recreate the wall mural easily with nothing more than a tester pot, a paint brush and a steady hand.

2. Make bath time a learning opportunity
We love this alphabet bath towel – it makes it so easy to make learning just part of the daily routine. and the hanging wall hook is a cool addition not only to kids' rooms but hallways and kitchens, too.
3. A girly theme that's not all that girly
Know a girl who's growing out of the pink-obsessed phase (but not quite yet) or a boy who loves a warm pink? This scheme is a great compromise, and perfect for a cool, north-facing bedroom that could do with some warmth. The storage ideas are cute, too.
4. A foodie scheme boys and girls will love
We love love love this scheme – great fun, colourful but not overwhelmingly young – in other words, when you're tween becomes a teen they won't feel embarrassed by the motifs. We think this Melville fish wallpaper is pretty on the nose, too.
5. Create some animal magic with accessories
Even just hanging a new poster and swapping bedlinen out for something that matches can turn a plain room into one that looks coordinated and colourful. This animal poster and matching duvet is a winning combination for us.
