We love H&M Home, it's stylish, affordable and there is so much to choose from. But there is no denying that while we love shopping cheap homeware and switching up our interiors with the trends, this constant buying isn't all that great for the planet. So that's why we thought we would throw some love at the H&M Conscious collection and pick our fave bits that are online right now.

All the products in the conscious collection contain at least 50 per cent recycled materials, organic materials or TENCEL Lyocell material. So you are still getting really lovely, affordable pieces that are just a bit kinder to the earth...

1. Switch up your bedding to organic cotton

Do you love the feeling of new bedding? Enjoy switching it up with the seasons? We hear you, we do that too, but why not make your bedding hoarding a little bit more eco-friendly and choose something from the H&M conscious range...

As well as plain bedding there are also some patterned options. We love this checked set that comes in black or white. Again it's made from organic cotton and have a lovely tie detail just to add a bit more interest.

2. Change your towels too

Switching your towels to organic cotton next time you need to buy a new set is also a really easy change to make. These towels in the H&M Home conscious collection are really affordable, they start from £3.99 and come in some lovely neutral colours that would suit any style.

3. Buy FSC-certified furniture

H&M Home have some gorgeous new pieces of furniture in at the moment. Including this rattan lounge chair. It's made from FSC-certified acacia wood and there are are a few matching pieces to go with it, including this bench and a wall cabinet. As well as being sustainable we think this range also looks a lot more expensive that it is.

4. Pick up some sustainable cushions

We are big fans of cushions, and previously advocates of you can never have too many, but since we are making a conscious (see what we did there) effort to not just keep on buying, we thought these H&M Home cushions would be a good shout. They are also 100 per cent organic cotton and come in a range of lovely bright colours. You can buy cushion inners that are also in the conscious range, too.

5. Buy eco-friendly stuff for your kid's room too

The H&M Home conscious collection extends to their kid's range too. There are some adorable bedding sets, including this super cute dog set. It comes in a bear, cat and rabbit version too! And there are matching storage bags!

6. Choose recycled glassware and storage jars

These gorgeous tumblers are made completely of recycled glass. We love the slightly misshapen design and the green tinge to the glass. They come in two sizes, short and tall and there are also some equally cute recycled glass jars in the range.

7. And organic table cloths

Loving the Mediterranean vibes of this table cloth. It would be the perfect thing to hide your green plastic outdoor table or just to bring some colour into your dining area. As well as looking super stylish it's also – of course – sustainable, as it is made from organic cotton.
