Hands up if you've lost count of the number of times you've burnt a birthday cake or over cooked a chicken? We know there are a fair few hands up out there, which is why we're so excited about this brand new smart oven innovation from Miele.
Introducing the world's first pyrolytic oven with a clever addition called FoodView. How does it work? The oven comes complete with a built-in high-definition camera, that links to your phone through the @MieleMobile app, so you can watch your food cooking... from anywhere.
Gone are the days of abandoning your dinner party guests every five minutes to check on the brownies, now you can casually look down at your phone for a clear view of exactly how they're doing.
And if you're out walking the dog, and check your phone to see that your lasagne is already a little over-done, what can you do? Take the quickest route back home? Nope. You can adjust your oven's settings, lower the temperature or change the timings from your phone. So you can turn off your oven, continue your leisurely stroll and not come home to a seriously burnt dinner!
The Miele Generation 7000 Pyrolytic ovens with FoodView start from £3,599, so they're not cheap, but if you're renovating and fitting a high-end kitchen and have a serious leaning towards smart home tech, it's worth investigating.
