Every year, 55,122 people in the UK receive a breast cancer diagnosis.
For each individual this comes with a wide range of physical and emotional side effects, as Sarah Davenport discovered after the diagnosis of a close family friend in 1997. Shocked by the lack of information and support available, Sarah founded Breast Cancer Haven which has since become a world leader in cancer support, providing practical advice on money, stress and exhaustion, as well as ensuring that there is always someone available to support patients and their families.
For the last 18 years, Breast Cancer Haven has been supported by KitchenAid, a partnership that has already raised £280,000 for the charity. Ahead of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, KitchenAid has re-launched its vibrant best-selling Raspberry Ice Artisan 4.8ltr stand mixer and the gorgeous Mini Guava Glaze 3.3ltr stand mixer, with £50 and £30 from each sale respectively going straight to support Breast Cancer Haven.
Each Raspberry Ice mixer comes with flat beater, wire whisk, dough hook, 4.8 litre stainless steel bowl and pouring shield, and is constructed from full die-cast metal creating a stable and durable mixer. However, KitchenAid’s mixers do not only provide an excellent quality product, but they do so with style – renowned as a symbol of impeccable quality with their instantly recognisable mixers being used everywhere from professional kitchens to the Great British Bake Off tent.
Whether you’re an amateur baker or simply enjoy whipping up a cake for the family, buying one of the two limited edition mixers is a great way to support the excellent work of Sarah and her dedicated teams at Breast Cancer Haven.
About Breast Cancer Haven
A recent survey reported that, following hospital treatment, only one in 10 people felt positive and ready to move on after being discharged. This highlights the necessity of the life-changing the work that Breast Cancer Haven is doing.
With six Havens across the UK (London, Hereford, Yorkshire, Wessex, Worcester and the West Midlands), Breast Cancer Haven helps thousands of people per year. Their support is free of charge and thus depends upon generous donations in order to support the thousands of women at the time they need it most.
