The relationship I have with sleep is a difficult one. I'm always searching for sleep hacks and remedies to ease my issues, but the one thing I've noticed is this: what works one night doesn't work the next, and I'm always back to the drawing board. It's been this way for years, and the only consistency when it comes to my sleep schedule is that I have trouble falling asleep.

But this isn't a new problem, and while the pandemic did add to it, it's most certainly not to blame for it. The disturbances I'm facing are mainly because of stress, the use of technology, and feeling like I have a hard time shutting my brain off.

One thing's for sure: I can't continue down this sleepless road. Instead, I've set out to find sleep remedies that didn't just work but worked well.

From the best mattress (opens in new tab) to the best mattress topper (opens in new tab), and even the most comfortable pillow, these sleep hacks were the solution that had me waving goodbye to another restless night and sent me off to dreamland.

Talk about ideal! — since I'll be able to catch some zzz's just in time for World Sleep Day. Problem solved!
