When I was little, I used to tell my parents that I wanted to have a Barbie-style house, decorated in top-to-bottom pink. Thankfully I managed to grow out of that phase — otherwise, I’m not sure my boyfriend would be living with me — but I still love the color and it brings me such joy to decorate with.
I definitely think my main gal Barbie inspired this love of all things pink. I loved creating soap opera-style scenes with my dolls, and I grew up watching the Barbie animated films (and have now been finding those Barbie dancing dogs on TikTok hilarious). Basically, I’ve been forever obsessed with her aesthetic. There’s just something so magical about it, and it really does transport you to a different world.
The anticipation of the upcoming live-action Barbie film has pulled me right back into wanting to decorate with that bubblegum brilliance. The Barbiecore look is about being bold, lively, and most importantly true to who you are, essentially everything she stands for.
These decor picks are perfect for bringing the Barbie look into your home, in a mature way that still looks utterly fabulous.
9 pretty and pink Barbie decor buys
I just know that if Barbie was to name her fave drink, it would be a pink mimosa. It’s sweet, sharp, and sassy, just like her, which is why this candle is perfect for adding a sense of Barbie to your home. Beyond the scent, the illustrations of the cocktails on the side are super cute, as is the gold lid that tops the whole thing off.
Okay, I've always wanted a cushion like one of these, but my parents would never let me. But adult me is just as in love with them as I was back then. Style it so it looks quirky and artsy (not like my teenage girl fantasy), with other decorative cushions and throws. Try silver and glittery ones to make your decor really dazzle.
If you’re less into big candles and more into the subtle brightness of tealights, this set of pink and pretty candle holders is a beautiful choice. I love the pretty speckles of gold that look like fairy dust straight out of Barbie Fairytopia. Cluster them together on a tray for a gorgeous glow or dot them around the house to tie your place together.
Snuggle up and re-watch Barbie films (my fave is The Princess and the Pauper) in this warm and fuzzy throw. The swirly tie-dye is so much cuter than a blocky color or print, and the vibrant pink shade just gives the pattern an extra pop. Mix and match with turquoise and purple-colored cushions or bed sheets for a vibrant look.
Living in a space where you can’t change the floor? Rugs are your answer, my friend. This one comes in a range of different sizes, so whether you’re living in a small space or have a rental with a bit more room, you’ve got options here. The white shade is also really sweet if you want all the fluffiness without going all in on the pink.
Ruffles don’t just look beautiful on Barbie’s best ballgowns, you know. These are a gorg way to bring playful texture into your home without going full-on princess mode. As a bonus they’re made out of blackout fabric, blocking out light and sound, so you can get all the beauty sleep you need.
Velvet chairs are just one of those pretty pieces that always look good no matter where you place them. Whether you want a stylish seat in the lounge, a bougie office chair, or a reading chair for the bedroom, this baby pink one with its pleated back and golden legs is sure to perk up your home.
Your coffee table can join in with the Barbiecore fun, too, thanks to these funky coasters. The cow print, smiley face, heart, and lips are just so fun and will add retro playfulness without going too OTT on the girly front. And don’t worry — the soft fabric is also washable and easy to clean.
Staying hydrated has never looked so dang cute. For royal tea parties, picnics with animals, or just vibing at home (she’s a versatile queen), Barbie would absolutely drink out of something as fabulous as this. The heart even grows bigger when you pour more liquid into it — now that’s some serious fairytale magic right there.
