A hotel in Indiana has recently launched a Stranger Things hotel room decorated just like some of the most iconic scenes from the Netflix show.
Stranger Things season 4 is finally returning to Netflix next month on May 27th. While we wouldn't say the eighties throwback horror show was a natural source of interior design ideas, the sets of the show have become iconic since the show launched in 2017.
The Graduate Bloomington, Indiana, has transformed one of their guest rooms into a combination of the Byer's living room, and the Wheeler's basement.
The bedroom has been transformed to look just like the room where the Hawkin's gang plays dungeons and dragons. In the corner is Eleven's den with her signature favorite food - Eggos, of course. Scattered across the table are numerous references to the show, including the coke can Eleven crushes with her mind.
Stacked behind them are the ultimate Stranger Things shelf ideas. Eighties paperback books, polaroid cameras, and even Barb's school pass (gone but never forgotten) are all carefully curated. Will even makes an appearance in a missing kids ad on the side of a milk carton.
However, the centerpiece of the experience is the Wheeler's living room. The room has been decorated in the exact same wallpaper, with the fairy lights and alphabet strung up over the sofa.
The room goes that extra step and even includes a mural of Joyce hiding away in a cubby talking to a bundle of fairy lights to communicate with her son.
However, the crazy decor doesn't stop there. In reference to season 2, Will's upside-down tunnel maps are pasted all over the wall.
If that touch of the decor wasn't creepy enough, you'll find tendrils from the Upside Down hanging from the ceiling. This is one hotel room we'll forgive you for believing you do need to lock the door to protect against 'Demogorgons'.
The suite sleeps 3-4 people and is available to book online. As part of the experience, guests will be given a Polaroid™ camera to document their trip, bikes to explore Bloomington and two tickets to WonderLab Science Museum (A.K.A The Hawkins National Laboratory). You'll also get a chance to indulge in Hopper’s Triple Decker Eggo® Extravaganza for breakfast.
