Whereas timber bi-fold and French patio doors are more suited to those homes wishing to remain sympathetic to period features, sliding doors are perfect for those homeowners looking to add a contemporary twist. Consequently they are more suited to modern ‘statement’ extensions where the homeowner still desires the natural warmth and beauty that timber can bring.

Timber tilt and sliding doors
Even outward opening French doors can be problematic for those homes with limited space. In these situations homeowners should consider tilt and sliding door designs. A perfect space saving solution, tilt and sliding doors are especially suited to Juliet balconies. They open up the room with natural light when closed and can provide secure ventilation without having to slide the entire door.
