If you're not a fan of having your large appliances on show, you might want to consider an integrated washing machine as part of your kitchen design or utility room planning. Just like their freestanding counterparts, integrated washing machines are armed with a whole host of features, functions and specialist programmes that are designed to make laundry day a breeze.

Have a read of our appliances guides for more great buys. We've got the very best integrated washing machines below, but if you're looking for a bargain, then head over to our best cheap washing machine deals, too.

What to look for in a washing machine

If your laundry day seems to come more frequently than most, keep an eye out for time-saving options such as quick wash cycles and a timer delay to take advantage of cheaper electricity tariffs as well as large capacity drums that can cope easily with a bigger load. Larger loads mean more washing, less often, which is ideal for families.

Think about the type of clothes you wash regularly and whether you’d benefit from specialist cycles for things like sportswear, delicates, woollens, school uniforms and large, heavy items such as duvets and curtains.

Choosing an integrated washing machine

Built-in washers tend to come in white, white or white, as the look and finish isn’t as important because it will be hidden behind cabinet doors anyway so the focus is more on features and functions rather than design.

Do make sure you measure up the space allotted for the new model carefully however and check against the dimensions of your chosen design before you buy. Even a few millimetres can make a huge difference as to whether it will fit.

The most popular designs are a huge hit with users, and here’s why…
