Walmart is currently celebrating National Baby Safety Month by running a Best of Baby Month event where they slash the prices on everything from strollers to bassinets and even diapers; along with this sale, Walmart have opened a car seat buyback program for parents to take advantage of. This allows unwanted carseats to be recycled rather than just thrown in the trash, and parents will receive a $30 Walmart gift voucher as a thank you. The event is a collaboration between Walmart and innovative recycling company TerraCycle.

WHEN DOES THE WALMART CAR SEAT TRADE IN 2019 BEGIN?

The Walmart car seat buyback program has been deemed the Nation's Largest Car Seat Recycling Event; over 4,000 Walmart stores are set to be taking part starting from the 16th September until the 30th September.

Safety – especially car seat safety – is a top priority for Walmart’s Baby department, so we wanted to use our size and scale to create an event that offered unprecedented access to trade in an outgrown car seat for a gift card – perfect for using on your baby’s next car seat. Sustainability is of equal importance to Walmart, so we’re happy to work with TerraCycle who will recycle every component of the car seats.
