Yes, you read that right, the much anticipated John Lewis Christmas shop is open! Well, it is open online anyway, so you can get shopping all the gorgeous decorations, trees, wreaths, wrapping paper and more. Think it's too early? Pfft, amateur. We are speaking from experience, the best decs sell out quickly! So make the most of it only being September and stock up now.
We are a bit overwhelmed to say the least – there is so much on there! Take your time to have a look through it all (hardly a task is it?) but we have rounded up a few of our fave pieces and themes just to give you are starting point...
John Lewis Christmas trees – our favourites
Okay so where do we even start? Let's talk trees first as these are the things that do sell out pretty sharpish. Just like last year John Lewis have smashed the artificial Christmas trees. They are beautiful and look so realistic. They start from 3ft and go all the way up to a massive 9ft!
John Lewis Christmas decorations – the top trends
Moving onto decs. Like every year John Lewis has come up with a load of super stylish trends and based their decorations around those. Our fave this year? Well obviously we couldn't just pick one, so we'll go with Bloomsbury, Pop Art and Art of Japan...
Bloomsbury is all about that very traditional, quite nostalgic vibe. There are lots of retro baubles, metallic decor, and a fair few woodland creatures. It's cute. Our personal fave decoration is the little Bloomsbury Car Bauble! There are also some lovely garlands and wreaths in this theme to string over fireplace places and above doors.
Oh, we love that kitschy (let's be honest, tacky) Christmas decorations have made a come back in the last few years! They were around last year but for Christmas 2020, the decorations have got even weirder and wackier! The Pop Art theme is all based around the well known art movement (with a festive twist) we are talking balloon dogs, robots, diggers? The stranger the better.
Now, this is something we haven't seen before. The Art of Japan theme is all about, well... Japanese style. It's kind of unusual and maybe not for those who like to keep things traditional but we love the contemporary vibe to the theme. There's tiny fan baubles, hanging kimonos, and even bowls of ramen. Love it.
There's loads more to explore over on the John Lewis website, so head over there to shop and check out all the themes! We will, of course, be keeping you updated when it all goes into stores too, so keep your eyes peeled.
