Follow this how-to guide from Kirstie Allsopp to make your own paper bauble Christmas decoration.
Although paper-cutting is an ancient craft, it readily lends itself to modern interpretations, as shown here by the designer Sarah Morpeth. Her beautiful paper bauble is inexpensive and surprisingly quick and simple to make.
You will need…
- Tracing paper
- 1 sheet of A4 cartridge paper, about 160gsm
- Cutting mat or a really thick piece of cardboard
- Craft knife or scalpel (Sarah uses a Swann Morton handle and no.10A blades – but whatever you use, be sure to change the blade as soon as it gets blunt
- Crochet cotton or embroidery silk (for hanging the bauble)
