Capital Eco 2022 Stoves

By the year 2022, all newly designed wood burning stove appliances that are verified by HETAS must meet the new requirements to be cleaner and more efficient. Defra has recently launched the clean air strategy, this document tackles the major sources of air pollution in the UK aiming to make our air healthier to breathe, protect nature and boost our economy.

One major source of primary particulate matter emissions is solid fuel burning in homes, this is the largest contributor at 38% of the total PM 2.5 emissions. The clean air strategy refers to the strict EU eco design emission limits as the target for stoves with open fires and non-defra exempt stoves quoted as very dirty burning appliances to be phased out.

Here at Capital, we are committed to meeting the future stringent efficiency and emission limits sooner than is required. Therefore we are proud to launch our new range of A+ ERP 2022 compliant stoves which have been designed in Britain. Homeowners buying one of Capital Fireplaces ECO stoves will reduce emissions by at least 85% when compared to open fires and non-defra exempt stoves, therefore can enjoy their new stove with the added reassurance that their purchase is of a high environmental standard and is “future-proofed” (as far as we can see into the future!).

The Capital range is sold exclusively in the UK, to view our full ECO range, request a brochure and for details of your nearest Showroom, please visit our website at www.capitalfireplaces.co.uk.
