Wiser Gets Even Smarter

With so many electrical appliances in the home, it can be difficult to remember what is turned on or off when you leave the house, but with the new Wiser smart plug from Drayton, you can remotely control and set schedules for your appliances, all from your smartphone.

The Wiser Plug is the latest addition to Drayton’s smart heating system and up to 10 smart plugs can added and controlled by the Wiser Heat app. This means you can turn electronic devices on and off wherever you are, so you can make sure the hair straighteners or iron are off, switch the slow cooker on, or easily turn the lamp off in your child’s room after they’ve fallen asleep, without disturbing them.

Using the Wiser Heat app, you can also schedule up to eight events per day across your smart plug devices. So, whilst you’re out at work or away on holiday, you can time lamps and even the television to come on to help your home appear occupied, providing more security and putting your mind at ease.

Plus, the smart plug works with Wiser’s Away Mode feature, so whenever you leave the house in a rush, if Away Mode is activated, electronic devices will turn off and heating will revert to your preset Away Mode temperature when you walk out the door, saving you time as well as money. The clever plug also doubles as a range extender for the Wiser system, extending the signal range, which is ideal for larger properties.

Like the Wiser heating system, the smart plug is compatible with smart voice assistants, including Amazon Alexa and the Google Assistant, so you can still turn off the living room lamp, even when you have your hands full! Wiser can also be integrated with IFTTT (If This Then That) for features like geofencing, so your appliances will turn off if you pop out and come on again when you return home.

The Wiser Plug retails from £41.99 and works in conjunction with the Wiser heating system, which is suitable for use with combi and conventional heating systems, with kits available to control heating only or heating and hot water. Recommended retail prices for the Wiser system start from £139.99 for a Thermostat Kit 1 (room thermostat, heat hub and app) and £219.99 for a Multi-zone Kit 1 (room thermostat, heat hub, app and two radiator thermostats). Individual Wiser radiator thermostats retail at £44.99. All prices are inclusive of VAT.
