Aldi's new range means your furry friends can live it large (but on a tight budget)

We're betting the buyers at Aldi are pet people. Either that or they've just cleverly noticed how much more important pets have become during lockdown and introduced a vast new range of amazing buys. It's probably a bit of both. Either way, your furry friends can be the receiving end of some stellar homeware buys thanks to Aldi's pet event. We're talking everything from a pet pool (we know, OMG!) to pet stairs and a cuuuute cat bed.

So, have a sniff around these fab deals and watch as your pet pal's tail starts wagging (although if that's a cat's tail, watch out, they're cross). This pet essentials range is available in stores from Thursday 20th August and you can pre-order online from Sunday 16th August... while stocks last! (And since stocks at Aldi often don't last, we've popped some alternative buys beneath.)

1. Pet Pool, £22.99

We're going to start with this pet pool because we are quite frankly obsessed (and also a little jealous). The relentless heatwaves that the UK's 2020 summer has seen most certainly cool for a paddling pool (especially if you're wearing a 24/7 fur coat). This adorable pool will be the ultimate chill-out, cool-off spot for your pooch... the perfect pet essential this summer.

An essential gadget for any pet owner because your pooch will quite simply never tire of playing fetch, let's be honest! Oh and it has launch settings of 3, 6 and 9 metres.
