1. Pick big, brassy botanics to transform your bedroom

Botanics? In winter? We love that Primark Home has embraced the trend for biophilia (yup, that's a thing) AND maximalism all in one go (translated to English: great big plant prints). And while this bedding set looks amazing in a dark-toned bedroom, it will also quickly transform a white or neutrally decorated bedroom, too.

Dark Forest Bird Reversible Duvet Cover Set with Sustainable Cotton, £11. We know! £11!

2. Instant living room transformation? These cushions will do it

There's no better way to achieve a luxuriously inviting living room or bedroom than with cushions, and lots of them. Primark Home's newest collection is a great example of how to mix and match different patterns, colours and textures to get a laid-back, dramatic look. We love the colour range, too: moody greens, raspberry and navy combine to create an expensive look. But, of course, prices are as low as you'd expect: the blue and gold patterned cushion (above right) is just £10.

The teal braided velvet cushion (below) is just as gorgeous, but cheaper at just £9. The woven texture is classic but the vibrant colour gives it a magical touch. Also, it's velvet so it's naturally a winter must-have.

Forget moody for a minute – Primark is doing a BAR CART! For just £30! Yes! It's not in the shops yet but is rumoured to be lined up for mid-October. We'll keep you updated. Prepare for a bar cart buying crowd scrum...

Love a bar cart but can't wait? See our top picks in our bar cart buying guide.

4. Lovely, lovely ornaments for all round the house

Let's talk accessories for a minute. They're just as gorgeous as the bigger pieces. Our favourite has to be this cute gold crane ornament, just £5, makes the perfect earring/ring dish for a bedroom – although we have to admit we'd like it on our hall table for stashing our best-looking keys. Expect to see those candles and the picture frame in store, too.

5. You'll learn to love your alarm clock (if it's velvet)

Mmmm dark velvet... Primark Home knows how to nail that moody winter vibe and we are big fans of this deep navy velvet alarm clock. Alarm clock in velvet? Outrageous. We are not outraged, however, by the price, which at £5 makes it the perfect stocking filler as far as we're concerned. Couldn't get a G&T for that price!

6. Drape Moody-coloured fairy lights to set the scene

Bedroom lighting is what really sets the mood of a room and we think fairy lights are a great way to light a room while you wind down (plus they look pretty). We love these affordable and adorable LED flower fairy lights, £6, from Primark Home. They give off a romantic, pink hue and will make any room more cosy.
