Halloween is almost here, and many of us have already been stocking up on gourds and spooky home accessories to get into the seasonal spirit. When shopping for your Halloween door decoration ideas this year, keep an eye out for these gorgeous pink pumpkins.
Forget white – or even pale green ones – because pink 'porcelain doll' pumpkins are the latest Halloween trend. We're seeing their soft pink and peachy tones on our Instagram feeds more and more. Luckily, they're not too hard to get hold of.
Last month, we shared the Halloween color trends reported by Etsy. The online retailer had noticed a leaning towards pastels, earthy tones and metallics. It also said there had been a 123% increase in search for pink Halloween decorations on Etsy.
Although they look like a rare variety you'd expect only to find by striking lucky at a garden center, you can now pick these pink pumpkins up while grocery shopping at Trader Joe's. The specific variety is called 'porcelain doll,' which is part of the 'fairytale pumpkin' family.
We love their sunken and boxy form - not to mention the Mean Girls-approved color - and can imagine lots of them creating a striking display stacked up and stylishly strewn outside our front door. Alternatively, smaller pumpkins styled alongside green ones would look great as part of a fall tiered tray.
There are now hundreds of Instagram posts tagged with the #porcelaindollpumpkin, with the pink-hued gourds proudly displayed in gardens and porches. If you're looking for something a little different, or if you're just not that into orange, these are a chic option. You can pick up seeds on Etsy where they have glowing reviews.
