Our final celebrity home tour of 2020 is unlike any other home we've shown you this year, and it's even more intriguing given its original owner – Elvis Presley, no less – wasn't exactly known for a love of minimalism and understatement. And yet, just look at this amazing, modern home.

Dubbed the ‘House of Tomorrow’  by Look magazine back in the early 1960s, the house hosted Elvis and Priscilla Presley's 1967 honeymoon. Elvis was already famous by then and could've chosen any home he wanted, so it's even more interesting that he went for a futuristic house in Palm Springs above any other.

It does appear that at least part of the reason for the location was practical – the house was within commuting distance of Elvis's recording and filming commitments in L.A. Still, we're pleasantly surprised by just how understated and cool this house is – a million miles away from the sequins and flares everyone associates with the later Elvis persona.

he design by modernist-architect William Krisel was built for the owner of the home’s Vistas Las Palmas neighborhood construction company, created out of four circular living areas on three levels with a curved wall of stonework.

There are five bedrooms and five bathrooms – the home is much larger inside than it appears from the outside. The 1.16-acre outside space features a private garden, tennis court, orchard and a partly shaded terraced swimming pool for lounging and outdoor barbecues. Still looking much like it did when hosting the happy couple, the ‘House of Tomorrow’ is priced at $2.5 million.
