Who can resist Ikea rugs? They are stylish, affordable and can be a super easy way to update any room. There are a lot of rugs on the Ikea website, so to save you all the scrolling, we have done the hard work for you and picked out the best rugs currently on sale at Ikea (plus one totally weird pick that we still don't know how to feel about)...

If you want even more gorgeous, affordable homewares, make sure you keep your eyes peeled on our deals hub page, with Black Friday sales in full swing there's a load going on over there.

1. The best Ikea rug for a simple, easy look

Lohals rug: £80

Our favourite Ikea rug of all time. Sure it's basic but it is the best if you are after a simple rug that covers a large space and it won't overwhelm the rest of your scheme. It's also perfect if you like to layer your rugs.

2. The best Ikea rug for an effortlessly Scandi look

Ludde shepskin rug: £29

Because everyone should own a sheepskin rug in our opinion. They are just so easy to style and instantly make a room more welcoming. These Ikea rugs are great value so get a few and pile them up for a lovely relaxed look. Oh and obviously they can be more than a rug: chuck them over a sofa, a chair or at the end of the bed, too.

3. The best Ikea rug for boho vibes

Persisk Kelim Tekkeh rug: £300

Ikea have some gorgeous Oriental rugs at loads of different price points so make sure to have a look through them all, if you are after something unique. Our favourite of them all is this patchwork number – if you like the boho, earthy style, this Ikea rug would be perfect.

4. The best Ikea rug that's both practical and pretty

Varmer rug: £95

We are obsessed with the whole Varmer collection really. It's just all so lovely and cosy and... Scandinavian. The blue and red combo is perfect for bringing some colour into a room but it won't completely take over the space. It's a flatwoven rug which is always going to be more practical than a deep pile number (especially if there are kids and pets involved) but it's still super thick and soft.

5. The best Ikea rug for adding a splash of colour

Halved rug: £129

Well isn't this a funky rug? We love the very slightly muted rainbow colours – they just make it slightly more grown up. This would look really cool in a minimalist-style room with not much else going on (maybe a few bold prints on the wall), and then just let the rug be the main feature.

6. And just the weirdest Ikea rug ever

Marker rad rug

No, that is not just a massive Ikea receipt from our recent splurge, it is actually an Ikea rug. It's part of the very cool Markerad collection that was created in collaboration with fashion designer Virgil Abloh. You're laughing now, but believe it or not this rug is sold out! So naturally, we now want it. You can check if it's stock in any of your local stores on the Ikea website.
