I'll tell it to you straight: the worst part about living in New York City is the lack of space during the warmer months. The second the temperature dips above 60-degrees, the things I would do to be soaking up the sun in some of the best garden furniture? Just about anything.
My moderately-sized fire escape — or balcony — falls short of my expectations. On a whim, and in a desperate attempt to bring my Connecticut roots (and backyard) to my apartment this summer, I invested in a set of Target outdoor pillows, and if you're wondering whether or not my purchase was worth it?
Say it with me: game-changer.
I loved not only that both were dark enough to withstand my steel balcony, and the fiber-fill inside on both provided enough comfort and support that me (and my scoliosis) needed.
More importantly, I loved that the material wasn't too hot or thick where I sweated when in use. (I can't be the only one who worries about sweating on things when the temperatures rise, can I?!)
Oh, and, above all: both options were just flat-out fabulous. I could sprawl out and use both as back cushions, change it up: sitting on one and using the other one on my back. Either way, it was a win-win!
Now, don't get me wrong: nothing beats a well-padded sun lounger by the pool or an egg-shaped chair back home in Connecticut, but for right now?
These Target outdoor pillows are springing my tiny New Your apartment into style, so you'll hear no complaints from me.
