Are you designing a kitchen and want to achieve the look and feel of bespoke plywood units, while working from a flatpack budget? Or are you stuck with an outdated Ikea kitchen that needs an update?
Faced with these exact design dilemmas, Tim Diacon and Adam Vergette founded Plykea, an upscaling service that transforms Ikea Metod Kitchens with the help of bespoke and stylish plywood fronts and worktops; and the results don't disappoint.
So how does it work?
Simply design your dream scheme using the handy Ikea Kitchen Planner Tool, then send to Plykea with your pick of doors, drawer fronts, cover panel facades and worktops – we love the Wood Faced Ply with Brass Edge Pulls for a stylish and contemporary finish.
If you're tackling a non-standard door size, or seeking an odd shaped cover panel, no need to worry, as Plykea boast CNC technology that makes it easy to accommodate unusual requests.
Four to six weeks later, on a date most suitable to you, expect to receive everything you requested, all designed to suit the rest of your Metod Kitchen. All fronts arrive complete with pre-drilled holes, and fixing holes that make them as easy to assemble as the rest of your flat-pack kitchen.
This approach produces bespoke-looking finished for a fraction of the price.
How much does it cost?
As all Plykea front and worktops are made to measure, it's difficult to provide an exact price list.
However, it couldn't be easier to get a quote, with their accommodating team promising to share an indication of pricing within a couple of days of receipt of your kitchen designs. Designs can be shared using the Ikea Kitchen Planner Tool.
