- Red felt fabric
- 1 x 50cm (20in) length of 4mm ribbon
- Thread, either matching or contrasting
- Polyester stuffing or sheep fleece
- 1 or 2 small beads
- 2 small buttons
1 Draw a heart shape on paper and cut it out. Pin it to the felt and cut out two hearts.
2 Take the piece of ribbon and fold it in half. Place it down the centre of one heart, so the loop sticks out at the top and the ends hang down below. Place the other heart on top and pin together.
3 Using a running stitch, sew around the heart about 5mm from the edge, but leave a 2.5cm (1in) opening.
4 Stuff the heart with polyester or fleece through the opening, then stitch it closed.
5 Thread one or two beads onto the ribbon at the bottom of the heart, tying a knot to keep them securely in place.
6 Sew a button on both sides of the heart for decoration.
