A two-storey extension to a detached house.
£100,000, including a single-storey rear extension, loft conversion and complete house upgrade.
To create more space and a look that was more sympathetic to other houses in the local area.
Ben Parsons of Ben Parsons Design (benparsonsdesign.co.uk) explains how the brief was achieved
‘As part of a larger house project, the extension was designed to transform this 1950s property. The existing extensions were demolished and the salvaged brickwork and roof tiles stitched into the building. The new roof design allowed for the creation of a double bedroom with en suite in the converted loft. To update the exterior while respecting the original character of the house, an oak-framed, clad design replaced the existing porch.’
