best single-serve coffee makers

You don't need to be uncoupled to enjoy a good single-serve coffee maker, take it from me. Though I dig the retro 50's diner vibe that comes from making a full pot of coffee morning, it's often much quicker to make individual cups of joe when I'm WFH.

Making a smaller serving has its advantages too. If you're using a pod coffee maker, you can choose a strength or flavor that suits you, without feeling selfish. Plus, my skin and bladder definitely thank me when I'm not obliged to chug a jug before midday. I've gathered a collection of my favorite single-serve coffee makers to help narrow down your decision on the machine that will grace your countertops.

The highly customizable and sleek K-Supreme Plus Coffee Maker stands out for its sleek (and easy-to-use interface), compact body, coffee strength and temperature customizations, and new brewing tech.

Multi-Stream technology
The K-Supreme Plus introduces Multi-Stream technology which uses 5 needles instead of the standard one, like a rainfall effect, for better saturation and flavor. The difference in flavor here alone is one of the reasons why this Keurig is our absolute favorite.

About the details
Just earlier I mentioned how in addition to size, you can select brew strength and temperature. There's also an "Over Ice" button so you can have a chilled iced coffee, without worrying about diluting it. The Plus model has a massive 78-ounce reservoir that will allow you to brew as many as nine cups before you have to refill it, which is also easy to lift up and fill. Finally, for practicality, the machine shuts off automatically after 5 minutes and alerts you to descale after every 250 brews. Fortunately, descaling a Keurig machine is not as tricky as it sounds. Read our full Keurig K-Supreme Plus review for more info.

Narrow profile fits almost anywhere

This option has cord storage built into the back of the unit.

Pros:

  • Four color options
  • Supports 6-12 ounce K-Cup pods
  • Easy to store

Cons:

  • Requires adding water before each brew

Brighten up your kitchen or coffee station by choosing one of the unique colors, like oasis or dusty rose, that this brewer offers. The K-Mini lives up to its name since this model is just below five-inches in width and won't take over your counter space or kitchen storage. And if you want to brew directly into a travel mug, you can remove the drip tray to free up some vertical space.
